Hello and welcome to IL2!

First off, you'll get a lot of squad invitations, take your time and make sure you pick the right one for you!

Now taking that into mind consider joining III./JG53 - we are a co-op squadron of 3 sections based on time zone -
Rote is USA area
Weisse - UK/EU
Gelbe -Aus/NZ
We are recruiting pilots for all sections. Our numbers are currently around the 20 mark with most being quite active. We fly using IL2 1946 patched to 4.08. For official missions we fly the BF109G2 but we also have a fair few training sessions, mess arounds and general goof offs where we fly whatever takes our fancy!
The best way to get a feel for us is to take a look at our website, check out pilot stats, rules etc. and also to pop by our forum and say hi!
Both links are in my signature! Good luck and i hope to see you in the sky!

Maverick,

Welcome to the forums. After checkin' out the mighty JG53 come on by the Fightin' Irish Squadron and make a "hello" post in our "Off Topic" forum. Let us know what you like, what you have, when you can fly, your thoughts on transcendental ovine cogitation, wainscoting and anything else you think is interesting.

We fly historic co-ops two to three times a week and have dogfights in HyperLobby everyday with a 'Y' in it. There are no minimum participation requirements and the members will be happy to help you get set up with anything you need.

Best of luck finding the right spot,

:FI:Falcon

Hi maverick

I don't know what timezone you are - that will be a big factor - but we are a European timezone squadron based on the 56th RAF (fighter) Squadron.

Our website is below my signature and if you are interested you can email me via the link on the Recruitment page (no obligation).

And yes, you should think about what the squads have to offer and don't be afraid to try one and move on if it doesn't suit you. But there's no need to hang back, give one a go.

Good luck

You've probably found a squadron by now, but in case you haven't try European Air Force.

We are the biggest Allied Squadron with over 70 members. We fly Spits and other Allied Aircraft. We fly 2000hrs GMT Mon and Thurs, but you can see a few of us online most nights.

All new pilots get a 4 week training package.

Website for more details is: www.europeanaf.org

Hope you get/have-got one that you like
