BUMP - WTE_2TG is still recruiting pilots in the Oceania timezones (see WTE-ANGA.com). We welcome pilots of all skill levels including those new to the game. We have four active squads (II/KG53-Axis bomber, Stab.JG77-Axis fighter, No.460 Squadron-Allied Bomber, No.76 Squadron-Allied fighter) and one training unit or OTU as we call it.
Current activities include:
Scorched Earth "Star of Afrika" with other squads in the OZFB community
World at War - Our internal Dogfight Campaign
Dedicated squad training nights
Novelty nights.
We also fight the odd match against other Australasian squads.

There's always something to do in 2TG.

Game nights are Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Sundays. We meet at 20:15 AuEST, start engines at 20:30 AuEST.

Cheers

S' Scorch,
Site has been down for a few days now. Apparently the host server got cooked by an electrical fault...last I heard service was supposed to back up sometime this weekend.

Hi Cyphor85,
First thing to do is to head over to the website at WTE-anga.com and sign up. Someone from WTE command will then get in touch with you in due course. Once you're on board, WTE_Valmet (the OIC of WTE_2TG our IL2 unit) will assign you to our OTU and someone will look after you there.
Cheers

G'Day Blokes,

It's official, WTE are now the plain girl that wears glasses, at the party that no-one will dance with! Time to ditch those lenses, hitch that skirt up a few notches, push ya' boobs out and get rockin!!! Winky

The Australian Flight Sim Community is all on board but we want everyone to get involved in SCW, and that means WTE!

Here a snapshot of who's in already,

As you can see, Southern Cross War is going from strength to strength. We almost always fly 2 missions each campaign night, which is currently Thursday and Sunday nights.

THAT'S ALMOST 100 AUSTRALIAN FLIGHT SIMMERS!!!!

Mission planning takes about 10 minutes, so first mission generally see's you in the air at 8:40pm and done and dusted by around 9:30pm, which is ideal if you need an early night and can fit just the one mission in or SWMBO is giving you dirty looks. Roll Eyes

10 minutes later and you'll be in the cockpit again for mission two.

This is nothing like the complexity and all time consuming effort of Scorched Earth, there is ground movement but it's all taken care of by black magic. There are sector attacks and resupply missions and you can fly fighter sweeps, Jabo or high level bombing raids.

There are accurate records kept for every single pilot so you can see where you are in the big picture.

Not too long ago, SCW was just SCG versus 450, now it's just about every single Australian Unit...except WTE, and we want you blokes in.

So drop us a line and get involved with the fastest growing and most popular on-line IL2 campaign in Australia.

If you want to have a look at the SCW stats page for yourself, go to,

http://www.southerncrosswar.com/index.html

There are forums for Allied and Axis where you can discuss the campaign.

Currently we are in Kursk, which is being used to sort out the tweaks and glitches so that when we move to Tobruk soon it will be 100% smooth running.

Now is the time to try it out, get used to how it all works so that when we get shipped off to Afrika it's just straight into it! bow

I can't emphasize enough how simple it is to plan missions guys, you won't have have to spend very long waiting in Hyperlobby for a start.

So drop us a line on the forums and make SCW a regular event on your calendar. WTE has the numbers to be a deciding factor in which way the war goes and to prove itself as a leader in the Australian Community.
