You can have no idea just how hostile aircraft can be until they come to your area...
Aircraft which strafe or bomb your positions should be regarded with suspicion, if not deep mistrust. Aircraft which bomb and strafe your position and wear a red circle should certainly be regarded with deep mistrust. In fact, the deeper the better. A six-foot-deep slit trench is an ideal place from which to mistrust them...

~S HBr,

Training night is Tuesday from 20:30 EST
Activity night is Thursday 20:30 EST

Chunny's still with us and still the most ardent P-40 fan amongst us. Unfortunatly RL commitments have kept him grounded for the the time being, hopefully that will change in the near future.

We miss him as well, specially the No.460 lads.

~ HBR

The good thing about WTE is that they're flexible given everyone has a real life outside gaming time. Eg - me. I'm in the army reserves so Tuesdays are out for me, however I volunteered to join a Ghost Squadron ie. I'm still sort of part of 460 Squadron (which is THE best squadron btw coz we fly anything and everything well) but it allows me to still participate in activities as part of 460 Sqdn whenever I can make it.

Thanks for the responses guys! That's good to know Pharoah. I'm entering Year 11 next year, and I'm going to be chockas with the top 2 maths subjects and physics, so I probably wouldn't be able to make most nights. Perhaps I'll seriously consider WTE now. Again thanks mates ~S~

Question.

I'm a Kiwi but I live in Japan. Japan is a simular timezone to Aus but I'm wondering what the ping is like.

Basically I'm not much of a fighter jock, one I'm not that good at it and two, it's a bit boring for me. I've always liked mud-moving. I've never played on line but want to get into it.

Hi RNZAFJay,

I'm not sure what your ping will be like, but you can certainly give it a go. Hopefully it's okay. WTE as a unit, usually flies Tuesday and Thursday nights on "Hyperlobby" and if you page any of us, we'll be sure to help you out. Try other nights also, there is often someone from WTE about somewhere. You can also contact us on the website http://wte-anga.com and they'll happily help you out.

Hope to see you soon.

Bushranger..Alot of us cant get there alot of the time..work permitting etc..you just let the OIC know and alls groovy.

Jay.. I havent heard WTE pilots whinge about ping yet. If your playing with us most will know and understand that you'll lag out from time to time. There are ppl within WTE on dial up that enjoy whinge free play. Give it a go and see what happens. The worst that can happen is you'll meet a great group of pilots ( and Wombat and his crew can teach you some good stuff aswell). If you've got Broadband in Japan, my guess is you'll be fine.

S!

Untill a week ago I played on Dial up with WTE. I have done so for the four or more years that ive been playing this game and it's previous incarnations. So don't let dial up hold you back.

Yes we fly Axis and Allied!

Well what a great night WTE had last night! Last night was another World at Wat (WAW) Internal Campiagn night. Our two internal Wings Sword Wing (Allied) and Jaeger Wing (Axis) went head to head in a historical recreation of the 1000 Plane Bomber raid of Cologne.

It was a great mission on Sikshoota's ADSL2 Server, about thirty of us packed in there quite comfortably, Jeager Wing trying to cover Cologne and the Targets, Sword Wing sending in wave after wave of bombers. The Sneaky fighter escourts here and there, the hungry luftwaffe night fighters using close comms and good referencing to track down the enemy, what a great night we had! Gotta Love the WTE WAW Series!

Yep,
I joined up with this crowd a couple of months ago..they taught me how to fly, navigate, shoot and bomb properly in a nice, mature, friendly and non-threatening environment. Of course now they spend every Tuesday and Thursday night blowing me outta the sky! Seriously folks the World at War events are a real buzz.
Cheers

S!

You'd need to define "Guests" If your in a Transiant Occupation where your AFK for extended periods and home for short periods and need a Squad to fly with during your home periods we could fill that roll. We have several servicemen with ADF who do this, they simply go on reserve when away.

As long as your not currently a member of another SQN you may join WTE

Hope that answers your enquiry m8.

Dial up is not a problem as we have events and training on our own server(s). We also have plenty of WA members AFAIK.
