IL2 happens to be the premier flight simulator being flown these days and I have flown the IL2 series since Forgotten Battles was released. I wanted to fly a realistic flight simulator with a nice planeset and IL2 Has given that to me and I love Oleg and the team of developers at 1C for the work that they have done.

I got my flight simulator with huge maps tons of objects, tons of planes, so what am I going on about IL2 not giving me what I wanted? Well, I have my planes I have S*&T to blow up, but I'm not a pilot... Well, I am in a sense but I don't get orders, I'm not a part of an element, I don't have a role.. I just fly online with maybe 1 wingman on HL and things are a bit unorganized.

Give me a squadron that flies campaigns and has organization and leaders.. I will show you a happy Skarmie. Ever fly the offline campaigns and get assigned to Bomber escort, bomber intercept on a group of 10-20 bombers? I WANT THAT, but with human pilots.

Well mate, if your in Australia you need to join the Southern Cross Gruppe.

By the way, we are an Axis unit and have a Bomber and Fighter Wing.

We regularly fly in organised campaigns that span many months and you won't find a more organised unit.

We fly coops and mainly we fly as escort.Joining us,you'll get very strong training program,and will be learned how to fly professionally the hardest plane in IL-2,the FW-190.
And we have leaders,as you call them.You'll get your rank promoting,when you show bigger and bigger skills.
We're european based squadron.

Essentially RAF but we fly mostly in HL and on whichever side needs us most. Mostly full switch or very near. We also fly our own co-ops and join others from time to time.
