I have spent 6 years in this sim.
I know it inside & out.
I've been here since the original IL-2Sturmovik.
for 5 of those 6 years i was the founder & Commanding Officer of one of the most seccessful USAAF P-47 Squadons in the sim.
I Spent the last year flying 109's/190's for JG27.
i am well known in the community.

IF anyone needs a good Officer and is interested please keep me in mind.
I would prefer a military oriented USAAF P-47 Squadron from a US time zone if possible.

My curretn status is not final yet. just putting my hook in the water to see anything bites. there are still somethings being discused privately with my curennt squadron, and they will remain private.

if you interested, the Hell's Devils are always in need of experienced pilots.
We do look after people that are keen to teamplay and not only looking after kills.
The Hell's Devils are a Composite Group, this meaning we do fly not only in the fighter role, but in the bomber role as well.
Our primary mounts are the P-38 and the B-25, but lot of us flying other planes as well. For example I regularly use a P-47D-22 as my second choice.
Most of us are from US, with some Europeans thrown in, and few others from other places.

Not sure how active a group you are looking for. The Blacksheep tend to slow WAY down during the summer months. Motrin joined us some time ago and seems to really like it here - he's now on deployment on the Truman.

I love flying the Jug as well as a few other members, but we tend to fly Corsairs when in the PTO. I'm a retired Navy flyers so with that influence, we tend to base ourselves on authentic carrier operations.

Hello copperhead, I think I've got just what your looking for.

The black sheep 8th is a squadron based out of the USA currently with 6 members, were not that big, and not too small. We fly 47's, 38's and 40's and enjoy spending time flying together. We are a historically based squadron, our real life counterparts are still active today (in ww2 Our squadron was based in new guinea from 41-44, fighting the Japanese)

One of the main reasons were so small sized is because we prefer to have fewer pilots with more experience and skill than more pilots with less experience and skill, were big on teamwork and we really try to enhance the sim experience.

So far every single pilot we have has trackIR with a decent joystick, and we really try to keep it as such. Every member is over the age of 18, some of our members are in their 40's. So needless to say we are very mature.

Our server is on the brink of opening on Hyper-lobby, we try to get in a practice twice a week (one midweek and one weekend). All of our pilots are pretty experienced and have been around for a while (I've been with the sim since day 1)

from one 5th AF group to another.
And the transition from P-47's to 38's wouldn't be much od a streatch at all.

WELL IT'S NOW OFFICIAL.

I am no longer a Member of the 310th Virtual Fighter Squadron. A descion I made of my own choice. I'm gonna take a couple of days off away from this sim and decide what i'm going to do. But as for now i no longer have any assocation with the group known as the 310th VFC or VCS or whatever it's being called now or it's members. Wish em all the very best in thier endevors yada yadda whatever.
It's damn shame that i can no longer wear the colors that my grandfather wore so proudly. But this is the way it has to be i guess. it's bullsh*t IMO. & it sucks but oh well.

Take your time buddy.
When you do return to the sim, use the first time to fly with different groups/squads, so you can find the one that suits you best.

There is no rush .
