you do know that is still illegal due to them basically stealing Ubi's code and giving out without paying for copyrights

Actually it's not illegal.

1. Client is not modified.
2. Independant server is developed from scratch.
3. No money is being made on the game.
4. The Emulator team does not have Ubi's code. Nobody does. Otherwise it would be done a lot faster.

Besides, why would Ubi care? They shut the game down and refused to sell/give the code to anyone. As far as they know it's a dead product to them. But, it had many fans.
