Hello!

I'm new to the forum so be gentle. I just bought Assassin's Creed and installed it twice now and still not working. I spent the last 2 hours browsing through these forums and found 2 cases that had the same problem than me, which is:

The game's graphics are all white and peoples are missing from the very beginning. I watched from Youtube.com how the should look like from start (running through bunch of girls), and my screen is just white and messy, not even the player on the screen. As I am posting now my DxDiag, you will propably say that the game does not support Ati Radeon Mobility HD2600, but I've come across several other notebooks (ie. HP Pavilion 8710p) that have the same graphics card, and with the same drivers (V8.391) than in my Asus F8Sa, and they have the up and running. ATM I am downloading newer drivers from Asus (V8.441), but I'm afraid it wont help.

I've also tried to install DX9 and run it in DX9 mode but no.

your graphics drivers are nearly a year out of date and that will be causing the problem.

You could try using a modified desktop driver from here :- driverheaven.net

Well, sometimes there can be happy surprises with computers: I found newer drivers from Asus's sites, DL'd them (was very slow and got disconnected 5 times, took 3 hours an 7 tries to get them), and they fixed the problem! If anyone is expiriencing problems downloading Asus's drivers for the Mobility Radeon HD2600, PM or mail me, I can send them VIA msn.

PS. Driverheaven does not have drivers for this card.
