people here who have ran the game on a single core CPU have had atleast a geforce 7900/9600/8800 as they are way above the minimum requirements and can compensate. also the majority of people running it are on the very top end of the single core chips yet yours is considerable lower.

its no good saying some1 else has done it as differant people have compensated for bad hardware by having either the graphics/CPU well above the min requirements. but in your case both CPU and graphics are below requirements so you have nothing to compensate. in theory if you put a geforce 8800 or similar in your PC it probly would run on the single core.

Ok.... i do the thing were i go and go into my AC file and open it by the Direct X 9 ( I have XP) and it still wont start up. it does the exact same, it goes to the loading AC thing on my desktop, then it just goes away and nothing happens. its like it just cancels itself. i don't have the best CPU. it did say it did not meet the requirement but i would have thought it would at least let me play any ways

Same Problem. I have played the game on this system before. My HDD is partitioned into C and F. I have installed the game on the F partition. I will uninstall and reattempt to install it on C to see if it makes any difference. Until then, I'd appreciate any help offered.

I'm at a loss of trying to figure out what's wrong, let alone how I can fix it.

I installed AC and the patches without any problems, but then I tried to run the game. The title bar for the game and the border comes up, but a few seconds later a window pops up saying it has to close the program. Sometimes a black screen appears instead, but it just stays there.

Also, I went into my programs list, only to find no AC folder, or Ubisoft folder! What happened?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I was having problems with my Assassin's Creed not loading or only loading 47% then exiting. I tried updating drivers and nothing seemed to work. Eventually I came across a post that said to disconnect from the internet. I never thought that would work but it did! I have a wireless connection with my laptop. I disconnected from the internet and the game started right up. I did change other things with drivers and such so I don't know if it was a combination of things but I tried running it after the drivers updated and it still didn't work.

So for everyone out there who has this problem, try disconnecting from the internet. Don't know if it has anything to do with the problem but it mine seems to work fine! Also make sure you have the correct requirements as I tried to play this on my desktop which has shader model 2 and 128 mb video memory and it did not work!
