Hello,

1) Starting the game:
Why does it take so long to actually start playing? Is there any way I can disable those videos at the beginning that do nothing but waste my time? I just want to start the game and start playing.

2) Quitting the game:
I have never had to perform so many click to get out of any program. This has gone far beyond the level of absurd. Am I missing something? I think I have to perform about 9 or more clicks to get to my desktop. Is there a shorter way out that eludes me?

3) What are the benefits of collecting flags or killing the knights?

Hey there, I'm new to Assassin's Creed as well, but I think I can answer your first two questions.

1) As far as I know the only video you can skip at the beginning is the opening cutscene/trailer. The other Ubisoft/Ubisoft Montreal videos are unskipable, and I agree are also kind of annoying. But it's marketing and covering legal ground, so blah, guess there's nothing to do about that.

2) The only other way to exit the game without quitting, reloading your profile and going to exit is to Alt+F4 out of the game. But you just want to make completely sure that your game saved, otherwise it could compromise data.

3) Well, I only started the game over the weekend, so I'm not sure about this either, but guessing from other Ubisoft games, it probably gives you some unlockable like a costume or something.

Hope that helps a bit, and am curious to see if there's anything I missed myself.

on the PC nothing at all, on the 360 it gives an achievement but that's it.

I was able to disable all the videos at the beginning of the game by doing this:

Go into the game directory and then go into the folder named videos. Rename them all. I just added the extension ".org" to the end.

Now I can start playing quicker.

Getting out of the game is still a ridiculous series of menu clicks that makes me want to yell at the programmer manager who though this was a good idea.

I'm not sure but i believe the videos are used to cover the loading times so it's not just a boring blank screen and yes collecting the flags and killing knights on the 360 gives you achievments.
