i just purchased assassins creed for the pc last night via ebgames download store. i updated to the 1.02 patch and meet all the system requirements. i updated to the latest version of directx from microsofts website and also made sure i had the latest drives for my gfx card (ati x1800xt). once i start the game it freezes after about 5 mins of gameplay. this happens every times. here is the dxdiag i just ran, any help would be great!

all I can suggest is try looking at aMD's site to see if they have any drivers or multi core optimisers for the optrons. as they do it with the athalons but they are computer CPU and not server ones like the optron so the optrons may not be upto working as a gaming PC CPU.

I aso have this problem. After about 5 mins the screen freezes, and goes all white and multi-coloured.

Whats odd is that sound seems to continue. but the only way I have found to restore is to perform a full system reboot. Alt-ctrl-tab doesnt work or anything. Totally frozen.

I am running Vista Ultimate, have all the lastest updates and drivers for my 8800GT graphics card.
