Hey there everyone, I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I just bought Assassins Creed for the PC yesterday, and I am already having problems with it, like.. for example, I am having speech stutter problems whenever a character talks, the most annoying problem is audio repeat.
What I mean by that is that the music (And possible the sound.) repeats itself when I am in some kind of sequence like going to pickpocket someone or in a fight. I am only at the beginning but it's quite annoying.
Here are my computer specs
AMD Anthlon 64 3500+ (Processor) Core Speed: 2210 MHz Video Card: Nvidia GE force 8800 GTS 2.00 GB of RAM. Windows XP
Yep exactly the same problem i have. And for the record, updating my audio drivers for nforce audio didnt help. My processor/ram/OS is the same as yours. But i have 8800gt grafics.
Well it's good to know that I am not the only one, though I am starting to think it's my processor, when I reinstalled it it said that it wasn't really up to date with the game. So I think I may have to buy a new processor, probably more then what I have.
Which is a AMD Anthlon 3600+ GTS, it says that it needs a AMD Anthlon 64 X2 4400+ (Or better) because everything listed out in green except the processor, so maybe this is the problem or am I wrong?
Not if the problem also happens on Cor 2 duo's. The game told me my processor isnt enough , but it does in every 2nd game tell me that. Already a year ago it went like this, "Ohh its just 2,2ghz but i need 3,0!" But look at it i can run Crysis at max. There must be a way to fix this, because otherwise the game runs fine from low to high.
Well I have to say it's quite annoying since you hear the same thing over and over again, I updated my driver and I turned the sound to basic but none of that helped. If what you say is right then either I need to get a new processor or we need to wait until a patch comes out.
nothing helped for me except lowering the "sample rate conversion thing" in the same dialog as the hardware acceleration that I set to basic. And even then I still get the occasional voice stutter.
I tried every option and still nothing. Replacing EAX.dll in the AC directory with a very older one (2.0 or something) helped a bit, but the problem is still there.
I also have this problem. Thing is when I first got the game I had Vista and it ran fine other than the graphics had to be set low. I just went back to XP so I could run my games with higher graphics and thats when it started.
Same for me also, Funny though I got a torrent version and the was no stutter in the audio. I bought the game and theres stutter. I perged my registry and reinstalled to no success. This really sucks I like the game buy it and start having problems..
I am also having this problem, the people stutter and sometimes the music loops. Also when I exit the first city, the countryside is a mess. There's massive squiggly walls blocking me from seeing anything. In the Detection Tool it said my processor is not enough. Patch please :P
