Hi everyone.
I am F-ing pissed off but I will try not to lose my temper. First of all I'd like to apologize for this: I was VERY MUCH looking forward to Assassins Creed.. and when it leaked onto the web I downloaded it. Ofcourse it crashed all the time but since I was planning on buying it legally I wasn't bothered. So I uninstalled the illegal version and I bought the real thing yesterday. I install it.. everything still fine.. note that I'm VERY hyped up right now with the prospect of finally getting to play this awesome game.. and I start the tutorial. The first thing that pissed me off was that I have to go through the IDIOTICALLY LONG TUTORIAL AND THAT I CAN'T SKIP IT! But ok... so I arrive in the "Synchronisation process" in the tutorial and all of a sudden the screen is filled with glitches and a second after the entire system freezes. Ok that sometimes happens .. so I restarted my computer. After going to 15 minutes of unskippable tutorial again it crashed again. (and because it didn't save yet.. I had to go through the entire f-ing tutorial AGAIN). I've had 6 tries now and I'm completely fed up! The game still didnt get to a point where it saved and it's STILL crashing randomly. ---------------------------------------------- My system: ---------------------------------------------- Q6600 @ 2,4Ghz OCz 2x2GB Reaper HPC PC6400 Asus 2x8800GTS G92 512MB SLI Vista Ultimate 32bit ---------------------------------------------- I had the latest drivers for my graphic cards but I hoped that the new 175.12 béta drivers would do good so I installed those. No results.. the game still crashes. Then I tried running the game in XP2 compatibilty mode.. but when I did that the .exe couldn't locate the original DVD and it kept giving me the "Please insert DVD" message. When I unchecked XP2 compatibility it could locate it no problem again. DX9 and DX10 versions of the game both crash even though DX9 seems to run longer before crashing. Serously.. I want to play the game and I paid €50 for it!!! First time it crashed it gave me a BSOD... but it hasn't since then. Welcome to real world buddy. If u are having a good time playing the useless tutorials over and over again then I think u gonna enjoy seeing the boring (from 2nd Time) cutscences repeatedly. There's no way to skip Mualim's boring lectures of how things work in AC and to see that u can do basically nothing. I don't think the games gonna turn alright until patch 1.1 and its gonna need a lot of patching. Basically with the whole bunch of Ubisoft game problems I think its a good idea to implement TRY BEFORE BUY for them. Until then ur theory of testing games will be great. In most case's if a game crashes once its likely it gonna keep doing that. GOOD LUCK. @Nvidia6800GTO: -you have no sounddrivers except the generic Windows. This is below the spec for the game. Install the sounddrivers for your onboard soundchip. Or better install a real soundcard. -Your RAM controller lacks drivers. Update your chipset drivers. -You still have a virtual drive and software related to disc copying/emulating. Securom is just doing its job. That's for a start. yeah im really angry
i just got the game i paid $100 AUD and i installed it my specs are 2.4 GHZ Quad Winfast(leadtek) 8800GTS 512 4GB Ram Windows XP new computer btw so im playing it i get to the big city jerisulam or w.e and it crashes.. like all these red things come up , freezes then i have to turn it off. i have windows xp mayby thats the problem? and i have direct X 9! i cant find 10 anywhere because aparently its just an update of 9. and i suppose its for Vista only.. sum1 really help me i feel really ripped off. |
