ive done some searching and i cant find a clear answer on it. but im looking for the kill where it looks like you punch your target, but you stab him with your hidden blade. ive done it buy accident before but i dont know how it do it. is it a combo kill or a counter kill? how do you execute this? cause if i have my sword out or short balde it kills them with it, but if i switch to my hidden blade the guards just chop me up???

im lost, please help-thanks in advance

I think it's a counter, thats all i know

It's a counter when you have your hidden blade selected. You can't really block with your hidden blade, so you have to counter or dodge every attack... that's probably why you're getting chopped up. The timing seems to change between weapons as well, because it seems like you have to counter at the last moment to pull it off like this.

yeah getting chopped does get old and the timing must beright on i guess, cause i still havent mastered this yet

i dont ever dodge really, let alone with the hidden blade, but it does annoy me when they keep hitting me, they even take advantage after a while and dont stop XD

you mean that there is no technique? that is what i was lookin for

Comes in handy when a stealth assassination goes bad and a nearby gaurd sees you. If he swings at you before you get your blade out you're gonna get cut anyway. But with a quick thinking counter you can kill the guy, and in style too. Something to master once you get really really good. Looks awesome when you get it down.

Combo kills are more harder i think counters are easier.

but you said you did it by accident and dont know how to do it.

Easy hold RT or the offensive trigger(with becomes the defencive here) and press X when your enemy is about to hit you
(just before the blade hits)

Also try do dodge alot when you have the blade but more try to counter because it kills on the first counter.

With means 2 guys = 2 counters.

Plus also when your enemy is not focusing on you
(tuanting,bieng scared, checking foot stance)
if you got the Hidden blade out and you move the left analog towards him and
you press X you will leap on to him and put the Hidden blade in his neck.

Oh and whats good is that i your unarmed and you take out the hidden blade therse no animation so if your in a fist figth and a guards comes to figth you you can press up qickly and RT + X
and hes dead and yes you can use this to as above if a guard swings towards you on a misson (or somewhere else)

STRONG COUNTERS

Okay i forgot if you counter a strong attack

(he loads the attack)

you will have to press X or A kill him press X you will use your sword and (My favorite) press a you will kick his leg so hard it will break

COUNTER KILLS, how the F8#k?
for the 1st 6or7 memory starnds iwas abel to do counters kills when facing mutiple enemies but after that facing maria/ robert de sable fighting his gaurds i push the button for counter but it never does counter kill he just punches,kick,knees or elbows them why is this am i pushing the button wrong?

select the hidden blade then counter kill with it. you really really have to get the timing right or you will just suffer alot of damage.

its one of the more epic kills you can do.
