Hello, I recently bought Assassin's Creed for my PC and am having huge lag issues from the moment I start a new game.
First thing I checked was to make sure I had the latest patch for it, and I'm already running Version 1.02.
I'm attaching a DXDIAG report but my specs are as follows:

Well, I'm an idiot.

After reading up on a couple of threads, I found suggestions of turning Sound Acceleration off via dxdiag if using an onboard soundcard.

Well I am using an onboard soundcard, and after disabling the acceleration the game plays on max settings with no lag so far.

Guess the video was lagging after the audio and not the other way around.

Hope this helps anyone else experiencing the same problem.

I have also had similar problem on a HIGH end computer. Fix? I worked around the DRM. I know that it's against the forum rules to talk about it. If I have to use a crack to make my game (LEGALLY BOUGHT) work with out lag ingame I think letting other people know that I solved my problem by cracking my LEGALLY BOUGHT game.
