I have played this game to the point of facing Robert and his henchmen on my laptop (32bit Vista) but I was getting my butt kicked every time so I moved to my desktop (64bit Vista). I started the game over and have been playing along nicely until lately. I am now at the funeral (actually on the roof near there) and I have spent a lot of time dispatching the rooftop guards and some on the ground while planning my getaway route. I am just about ready to crash the funeral and the game crashes to the desktop (this is not the only place it has crashed). Now when I restart the game I am back at the assassins bureau and have to meet with Mr. Onearm and start heading for the funeral all over again. I am getting close to giving this game up. I have the patch installed but I see no benefits. I have also noticed that after some cut scenes (ex. funeral) that guards you killed before have either come back to life of been replaced (I'm not sure which) just to make things harder on me. I was also wondering why my boy jumps from guard to guard during a fight for no good reason. I can understand if he gets attacked from behind by another guard but it seems like he'll get a couple of good licks in on one guy and then jump the another instead of just finishing off the first guy. Another frustration in the fighting is that the guards seem to know how to grab and throw, kick you down, and a few other moves that I can't seem to counter. My boy lays on the ground for just long enough for the guards to surround and multiply, I know there are some counters I am suppose to be able to do but either I suck at it or my guy just can't do it. Anyway, I would like to finish the game but the way it's performing my frustration level is getting to high. It's a shame because I had thought this was an awesome game until the crashing problems.
