Hi. This is the first time Ive posted on a forum to get help for anything so bare with me. I have installed and updated AC and it seems to run fine but everytime I play the game freezes at some point and I have to restart my computer. Sometimes it happens after playing for 45 min sometimes 5 min. Seems quite random and not dependent on what I am doing or where ingame. here is my dxdiag. PLEASE HELP!

Hi. A few suggestions:
1. Your soundchip drivers are not installed, you are using the Windows generic drivers (2006). Update from this page on asus P5N-T DELUXE support, search for

2. Update your nForce drivers

3. In nVidia control panel, slightly downclock the videomemory of your GeForce 8800 GTX

I did all those things and played for about an hour thinking it was sorted. Unfortunately it crashed after that. This time in the middle of a cutscene. I dropped the GPU mem speed from 900 to 700 Mhz was that enough? Any other ideas?

Try renaming Resources:

Try blocking the Updater in your (or Windows-) firewall.
Or, disconnect your Network (Internet) Connection.
Or, just rename the folder "Resources" in the game's directory, by adding an "X", to XResources"... it should put it out of order as well.
I personally haven't had any problem related to the updater. I haven't disabled it and still running 100.1 version of the game.

Also, make sure no unneeded programs are running on the background, email notofications, anti-virus, systemprotection software etc.
