I can play the game for about a minute or two with no lag problems on max settings, but with no warning signs or error messages the screen just goes black with a repeating sound loop, the only thing i can do is cut the power.
(oh by the way it can even happen in the main menu and initial loading, but rarely)

i have tried many things to fix the problem including disconnecting the internet, fraging and verifying integrity, putting all settings on lowest, cooling the computer more, updating drivers, runnings in DX 9 instead of DX 10, disabling 2 or 3 CPUs, i can't think of anything else, any ideas?

The system information looks fine. If you are running above 45-50 Processes, you may want to close some background programs since that could cause the black screen with sound repeating. Contact Technical Support and we can take a more advanced look at your system.

BTW - Black Screen and Blue Screen of Death are very different. Blue is bad.

Recently I've been getting the blue screen of death whevener I try and exit Assassin's Creed. I've had the game for about a year and a half and I always used to exit by pressing alt+F4 (since I never knew how to exit the long way). Nothing happened, game ran fine, no corrupt save files or anything, and I upgraded my computer recently (got an extra GB RAM and a better graphics card) and the game ran better than ever. But when I press alt+F4 it goes to the BSOD and the computer shuts down. I tried exiting the long way and the same thing happened. The game stays intact, but it is rather annoying and I'm afraid something bad may happen one day. Here are my new specs, if that's the problem:

Processor: IntelCore2 Duo E8200 2.66GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR2
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 512MB

Blue Screens are hardware related. Try reistalling/updating the drivers for your video card and sound card. After reinstalling and updating the drivers, you may want to test the hardware if the problem persists.
