Tried aborting memory and had the same problem the 2nd time.
Anyone have any ideas?
I think this is similar to my problem I am having a "Huge" problem with Asssassin's Creed 2, where for no apparent reason, a white circle with enough spaces on it comes up with two options on it that I can't select to make it disappear but can sort of move between the two and the only way to get rid of it is to hold down the PS button and quit the game. I don't know if I've done something wrong to make it happen or it just be an issue between the game and my console.

Hey nightxofxday i think that cape is exclusive for carnival. I went and got a new piece of armor to finish the set and them switched back to Altair's armor and the cape was gone. Maybe they'll make it available by DLC. It is pretty bad @$$.

I've mentioed it before on the forums, but I'll do it again seeing as this forum is 'official'.
I sent my 360 version back for a refund from the online store I got it from today as I couldn't play the game for longer than 15 mins or so without it freezing. I could get the X Box Guide button menu sound when I hit the button on the pad at this point, but no menu would pop up, so I was forced to turn off at the power button.
I never experienced any crashing until just after the fist fight at the start of the Animus/Ezio segment, but the furthest I ever got (after trying everything on the MSN tech support site - no HDD, new profile, remove HDD cache) without a freeze was meeting Leonardo Da Vinci for the first time.
I bought the 120gb HDD which is in my X Box, I'm only using 1 pad on it and I've got the official wireless router connected. I get the ocassional rare freeze on games (but then I think all 360's do, they're not a well-made console tbf), but I've never had games locking up every 15 mins before like I had with AC2.
I hope there's a patch coming to fix this issue, as I had great fun with what I did get to play of the game and I'd hope to be able to buy it again one day.

Just a thought, but it sounds like your disc drive may be failing. If you have a 120GB HDD you should try saving the game to your hard drive. I did this and have had no problems with freezing or glitching at all.
