The game is fun indeeed! I just finished it yesterday night, and without spoiling anything, it was just great! (about 5-7 hours a day, 4 days, 20-28 hours of fun)
Besides the out of sync stuff, 1 crash and 1 lockup i had no problems...

quote:
The only other bug I noticed was one of the viewpoints in Damascus, in the rich dstrict, can't remember which, but it didn't allow me to slide at the top to grasp the wooden beam you sit on to synchronize. I actually had to sorta jump off at the top the right way to grasp the wooden ledge to be able to finally sit up on the beam.

Thats aint really a bug, there are several viewpoints i had that with.. all had a round rooftop (a mosk mostly)... maybe it wasnt ment to be so but it surely gave some challenge to get on that wooden ledge!

Btw, Infinity0... congrats on your marriage! ^^

A game that kept me to my pc, gave me fun and never even tempted me to cheat... that means a very good game!! cheers for ubi!

Hi guys, just wanted to give a little heads up, apparently it really was a RAM problem, I bought another gigabyte and it runs fine, at least until now (I'm going to Jerusalem now), so thank you allBig Grin

Okay.. the most annoying bug I have is audio repeats.. it's quite annoying, most of it happens while fighting guards, interrogating, or pickpocketing, I have to admit it's irritable to deal with. I don't know if it's my sound card or something else but I just got a new processor that went over the specs required and of course sadly it didn't do the job.

Anyway to fix this type of bug?

I don't exactly know what you mean by "cracking" the game.

Careful, asking that is a definite no no on the games official forum. Wink

I found what seems to be a potential solution for some of the random crash issues reported by a n unfortunate number of people (including myself until a few hours ago). There were two erroneous .dll's in my Win32 folder that the latest AVG (8.0) deleted as viruses. Now that they're gone I can play Creed without a hitch. I'm even running everything except Multi-sampling and Shadows. All maxed out apart from Crowd Density which is at Medium. I'm running an 8x6 resolution, with a below spec Processor (AMD 64 3500+ at a frequency of 2.43ghs, overclock ftw). I don't know if this will help anyone else, but since it worked for me I hope it does. I'm also posting this on the Forthcoming Patch thread because it's a sticky. Really hope it helps some people fully enjoy this damn fine game.

Running Vista x64 Home Premium.

So far - I've had a few random crashes to desktop (usually random and not repeatable). The game always starts in Windowed mode (I'm using alt-enter to work around), although I've tried changing the .ini file to no avail.

Don't know if itcould be called a bug - but I had to configure my 360 controller. I know this isn't a Games for Windows title, but it would have been nice for the game to default to the same controls as the 360 when you have the controller.

Edit: forgot to say - running in DX10

Interesting, which .dll files exactly?

Unfortunately they're gone now and I can't seem to find the AVG log file. But I remember one was g something and the other was u something. And that they both had about ten or fifteen characters with no obvious pattern. A mixture of both upper and lower case letters.

i hada glitch where i was fighting robert and i got thrown out of the fighting area. I got up but it said de-syncornising death. Also some gaurds were hastling a person so i killed about two and i saw two were still there so i tried to stab one with my hiddenn blade but it hit the civillian. The two gaurds were pushing and pulling nothing. I think some glitches make games more funny

Another potential bug fix for those with the random crash issue. I had Realtek AC97 audio drivers installed until last night. Then I took them off because I finally realised they were still there and I didn't need them anymore. Now I'm using Soundmax and, not only has the crashing stopped, but I'm running the game at an almost flawless framerate. Only getting slow down during the most system intensive points (counters and when there are bajillions of people on screen). As with my previously mentioned .dll issue it could be nothing, but again, it may be worth looking into

Hello,

I am facing an extremely annoying problem with this game, I haven't read all the 24 pages of this thread but i think its only happening with me and I don't know why ?

The game runs fine everywhere except the main land through which we access all the cities (Masyaf, Damacrus etc). On the main land there is some sort of speed synchronization problem, the game becomes very slow then speed up then slow down again and so on... Its very annoying !

I know this thing happens only when you play an old single core processor game on a new multi core processor (Just like Core 2 Duo).

Same thing happened with me when I played splinter cell double agent on my Core 2 Duo processor but Assassins Creed is a new game why it is not working properly with Core 2 Duo ? Confused
