Hi,
Does anyone happens to have this problem? The game freezed while playing. Example: 1. talk to someone for taking quest or completing quest. 2. collecting flag. 3. killing each soldier on the final strike. 4. alerting solider 5. pressed focus "F" before preparing to attack 6. reaching a hiding spot while exposed. 7. talk to citizen after you saved him/her. I hope to find someone to help me on these problem. I am running on OS Windows XP SP2, Processor core 2 duo 2.66Mhz, 4Gb of Ram, Graphic card, Nvidia 8600GT 256Mb I don't know what is going wrong. I've already updated my graphic card driver to the latest version & changed the graphic details to the lowest. But I can't help at all. I even reformated my harddisk but still the same. Have you checked how hot your GPU is running? The 8600 is known for being able to bake cookies on. (When I overclocked one it easily pushed to 80 celcius while under load, but the load was crysis) If you don't know how to check download nTune from nvidia, but you probably already know that. You may just be overheating your card I'm sorry to say. That's my first guess, if I'm wrong just yell at me and I'll try to think of something that may help.
Good luck mate. EDIT: Would you mind posting your power supply? Setting up an 8600gt doesn't usually require a supplementary power cord, but if yours came with one and it's not being used or it's plugged into the wrong slot, your card might not be getting the juice it needs. Supplementary powers cords fit into alot of power supply extensions but make sure it isn't going into the floppy extension because that isn't likely to provide enough power. And maybe your vram because it's only 256mb. I'd say the first two options are unlikely but worth looking at. I'm placing my money on the third choice about the vram. |

1. Check on the Gigabyte support page for your P35-DS3R if you have the latest bios supporting your 1333Mhz CPU, if not do a flash so that its microcode is properly updated.
Latest version is F12f (2008/03/27). 2. Make sure to install the latest chipset drivers (from the Gigabyte support page). 3. Update your Realtek HD drivers. 4. Set the hardware acceleration on your soundchip to basic 5. Dismount your virtual drive (F:\) and maybe even uninstall your disc cloning/emulating software, removing all traces of it using CCleaner. 6. Defragment your hdd. Diskeeper Lite. 7. Make sure while installing software, and while gaming, no antivirus- and system protection software is running on the background.
