I have AC1 and played it on my pc with no lag, perfect and I loved it. Im thinking of preordering AC2 but I don't know if my pc can handle it. The requirements for AC1 was pretty heavy. Any ideas if my pc can handle AC2, I know its hard to guess for the requirements but any help would be great.

PC Specs
Pentium D 3.4Ghz
3GB Ram
9600GT Geforce 512MB
More than enough free disk space.

I also have a laptop. I haven't ran AC1 on it but please let me know if my laptop would handle AC2 better.

Laptop Specs
Core 2 Duo T5800 2.0Ghz
9600M GT 512 MB Geforce
4GB Ram
Plenty of free disk space.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

You nay have frame-rate issues because of processor issues (need: Pentium D 3.4Ghz you have Core 2 Duo T5800 2.0Ghz). Other than that try it. It should run, but may be a little slow.

Anyway I see that there isn't any information about that, but I do have a rather stupid question. How do I actually find my pc specs? :P

I've got a hp hdx laptop.

Laptop specs:
Windows Vista (going to upgrade to 7 when dutch version is available)
Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 2.00GHz (2 CPUs)
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 130M
Enough space...

Am I able to play AC2? Because AC1 already needs 2.6GHz.

THANKS!

Intel Core Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00GHz
RAM 4.00GB

Yes, you should have no problems.
With the 9500M you've got you can run it, however on minimum.
It might lag on higher resolutions.
Generally speaking if you have no problems running AC1, you won't have an issue with AC2.

I doubt whether the system requirements will dramatically increase. Angel

Your processor may be a problem. But if you overclock the processor from 2.0GHz to 3.0GHz you should have no problems running the game smoothly. Thumbs Up

Yes, I'd like to know that too. Because www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest told me I couldn't play AC I, but it is actually running smoothly. Look! Minimum: Dual core processor 2.6 GHz Intel PentiumĀ® D or AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
You Have: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz
Sure, I've had lag a few times, but will it run AC II? Because also stupid: a friend's pc should run it very good and fast (based on the systemrequirementslab), but he has got lots of lag... A way too explain or is this just a big huh?

on the other forum xanatos said the graphics in AC II are "WAY better" I really hope i can run it... i ran AC1 no prob and it went smooth with no lag I have Intel Core 2 Duo E8400T 3.00Ghz 2GB RAM (will i have to upgrade to 4GB RAM?) and Geforce 9600 GT 1024 DDR3... I REALLY hope I can run this game because I don't want to play it on a console

Yes, I mean overclocking the processor. Veryhappy
If you overclock your processor, the 2.0GHz will increase to 3.0GHz and so on. This could improve performance with your video games.

Although bare in mind overclocking the processor too much may result in hardware damage, causing it to burn out. You can consult a computer expert for that matter.

But this is one of the possible solutions which is a free way of improving it rather than adding new hardware components.

Upgrading on laptops is always more difficult and expensive than it is on a normal desktop computer, due to its small hardware parts that are still very expensive. Sad

But a desktop computer is the easiest solution, it is easy to upgrade too because the parts are bigger, opening the case in a desktop case is generally easier than it is on a laptop. This means that you can upgrade with full freedom and flexibility.

blazingspeed overclocking a laptop is also a terrible idea as 90% of the struggle with heat never mind making components run even hotter.

also as I said above no spec for AC2 has been released the cities are a lot larger than in AC1 and the graphics are higher and there is a lot more going on so I wouldn't take for granted that a PC that can run AC1 will be able to run AC2 or there will be a lot of disappointed people who find out this isn't true.
