I purchased Assassins Creed from PC World in the UK.I checked first with the tech guys if my computer would support it and they qouted"it should play it standing on its head"
My computer is Packard bell Imedia 3gb RAM Quad Core Processor 32gb hard disk NVIDIA GEFORCE 7050 Graphics The intro movie is great but the game when i enter the menus is like in slow motion and when you play the game this is the same.Even the sound sounds slowed down.Mouse activity in the menus is dead slow too.HELP!Have i got a problem or is it my graphics card that is poo??My system rating in Vista says I am a 3 on my graphics but the computer i bought was advertised as suitable for intense gaming.Any suggestions would be greatfully received. I also downloaded a demo of the new lego indiana jones game and this was similar in performance but slightly faster if this helps.... |

Your graphics card is 'poo'. I too bought my Assassins Creed from the UK, GAME to be specific. The guy said the game would work on my pc at the time, 2.8ghz P4 with HT, 1gb RAM and a 7600gt graphics card (I did read the minimum spec on the back but just thought I would be ok......). It was about as good as yours by the sound of it. So I went out and bought a new XPS system, just to play Creed..........Crazy eh?
I would say get a new card, especially if you've got Vista, DX10 is subtle (?) but good. You can get 8600s and 8800s pretty cheap now, I would recommend the ATI 3870 which is fairly cheap aswell. I've never owned an ATI card before, always been an Nvidia man, but that card flys. |

8600GT Overclocked Edition
The ultra fast Club 3D 8600GT Overclock Edition is bringing the best performance for gaming into the low price levels for intensive DirectX 10 gaming. A smart choice when you are looking for more performance for less money. A massive ultra fast 512MB GDDR3, running at 1600MHz is supporting the overclocked GPU running at 620MHz. The Club 3D 8600GT Overclocked Edition is using a special heavy duty low noise cooler to guarantee low temperatures and rocksolid operation. Performance * GPU: NVIDIA G84-300 * GPU speed: 620 MHz * Shaders: 32 Stream * Memory Size: 512 MB * Memory Type: GDDR3 * Memory Speed: 1600 MHz * Memory Bandwidth: 128 BIT * Multi VGA Ready: 1 * DirectX: 10 * OpenGL: 2 Configuration * DVI dual link: 2 * TV-out * HDTV 720p/1080i * HDTV / /720p/1080p * HDCP * Cooling: Active * PCB size: Full size * Format: PCI-E x16 Operating system * Windows XP * Windows MCE * Windows XP64 * Windows VISTA 32bit this is my video card |

Dual Leadtek 8800GT (512MB GDDR3) SLI. Runs well although i did get a few 8800 related issues, but the 175.16 drivers seemed to fix that up. 50 - 80 fps 1680 x 1050 maxed (4xMSAA 8xAF).

This game doesn't run that great for me and I am not sure why. It's playable but I have the graphics on minimum. Maybe it's my graphics card?
