Hi everyone,

After I did alot of research if my laptop (YES it's a laptop, but quite a powerfull one) was strong enough to play the game, i found it would be strong enough to play it and bought it. I installed it and started it, and all went fine, untill i clicked new game. The game loaded, and I saw Altair for a second, and then the screen freezed. I couldn't do anything, but i could hear the music. I then turned the graphics to the lowest settings, but still, it freezed. I started searching in the map where i installed it and noticed a file named AssassinsCreed_Dx9. I accidently double clicked it and the game started, but I could play it now. My guess it that my computer isn't strong enough to handle the game on Dx10. I'm still running the game with no lags on 1200*... (can't remember) but the graphics are still rather low. Can someone tell me how i can run the game on higher graphics? Here's my DxDiag

There may not be a great deal you can do to improve things, as that video chip is relatively low performance, but like all laptops, you're usually reliant on the manufacturer for driver updates, as you can't simply use the much newer desktop drivers.
If you would like to try it, there is a way to use drivers from ATI on your laptop, if you go to this site, you'll learn how to do this :- DriverHeaven

Well, i've managed to update some of my graphics. I can now play the game fluently with details set to full and shadows to 1/3, and i'm STILL impressed by the graphics! I tried playing it with shadows set to full, and the game still runs fluently, but sometimes the framerate drops alot. Thnx for the help BTOG46, but I think these graphics are enough for me
