i bought this game from a retail shop....so the piracy thing is out of the picture...its a directors cut dvd....now the problem is that the game is workin just fine except when it reaches the damascus stage the graphics gets all messed up...now a lot of ppl have the same problem....and this error has not yet been rectified....now despite of buying an original game if i get this error....i dont know what to do.....oh and bout the system info using DxDiag is as follows....PLZ HELP

update your graphics driver as the one you are using is around 2 years old.

first of all THANK YOU for your prompt response.....=)
ok so i tried to update the graphics driver i.e. ATI RADEON MOBILITY X2300, the update is up to date....needs no update.....now what....

unfortunately the reason you are having this problem is because of the driver being out of date, this is one of the main problems with laptop drivers as firms either don't update the drivers or or do it a lot slower than the real site.

unfortunately ATI does not directly support their mobile card's so I am unsure as to how you would get a newer driver as only the system manufacturer will offer first party drivers for your computer.

I know there are some sites on the net that offer modified desktop PC drivers that work with laptops to get round these problem's but I am unsure of the sites that do this.

If you still want to try a newer driver, you can use the desktop drivers if you use the MobilityModder from DriverHeaven, Click Here

A word of caution, a lot of laptop makers customise video drivers to use features in their installed software, which is why they don't update them very often, some features may not work with a modded driver.

i updated the driver just like u said....followed the instructions from the link....but no luck still the glitch remains....also i read over the net bout the similar problem, apparently there is this russian patch that helps.....but the game lang. is changed to russian....any words of wisdom, Sire???
