Thanx unreal_az, your reply was quite helpful, because HONESTLY I have no idea how patches work, I just know that I noticed that in some games there are differences in size of some files, particularly - exe files, i.e. actual game executables (Diablo II: LoD was this way, anyway, don't know other examples currently).

Well now I am having the same problem on my other comp, only this time it opens the file and crashes at the splash screen when I use the special file, with the normal one it works up until the main menu screen, any suggestions?

Try disabling DEP like described in first thread of this forum.

Is video card provieded by ATI is not supported in this game?
It's a big pity to me if this is true.

@liujiansen the problem is that the video card is a laptop one.Those are not supported by the game. If dentist's exe doesn't help i dunno what does.
Have you tried updating your drivers to the latest?
Do you have sp2 for windows xp?

Since last night the threads have been reordered, so where can I find this disable-DEP file? Ok I successfully downloaded the .exe file but when I try to open it I get a message in another language with a bunch of weird symbols. The old .exe worked but it had the flickering graphics problem. Now this one wont let me open the game at all. Any help or idea?

Well after using a later .exe file I finally got it to work, in a sense. It will now begin to load but when the screen goes black to open the intro it gives me an error. Here is my DxDiag. Of course I already know my graphics card isnt supported but thats why I was trying to get the .exe. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi !!

I got a nvidia Geforce 7800 GTX.

I tried the different solutions : modifying the exe, and downloading the "fixed" one.

No way for me to launch the game... When I trt to play, I got the loading screen, and after an empty error message.

What can I try now ?! Wanna play this game ! I'm waiting for so loooong ^^

It seems that it still hates me... It still will not work. Ive tried installing it on my 2 other computers and on both of them it has a different problem; It will load up and I create a profile and such but when I try to enter a campaign and such it loads up to half to full but then it has yet another error. They really messed this one up I think. Hope eventually I can get it to work so I can experience how much fun people are saying it its. Any further help would be great as well. Hope a patch will just fix it all.
