Hi guys,
I need your help with the issue that I have with the map editor version that came with HOMM V Tribes of the East.

After I install the game, I can never run the map editor tool. I don't see any error or information after run the map editor tool. Only I can see that process is activate on Task Manager and after few seconds the process linked to map editor dissapear.



I run HOMM V:Tribes of the East on Windows XP S.O.

I'll appreciate all the help or suggestion.

The Map Editor can refuse to function if :

1. Its installation has been corrupted. If so, uninstall the whole game and do a fresh reinstall.

2. A single, corrupted map-file can interfere with the whole editor! Remove all new maps that were not included with the original game (such as custom maps downloaded from users). Observe if the editor then works. If it does, reintroduce the custom maps one by one until you identify which map-file bugs the editor.

3. In other cases, a background process (such as an antivirus) might interfere with the editor program. Before you try to launch the editor, on your desktop, do control/alt/delete, and in the Windows Task Manager process tab, terminate all USER programs (not system programs!), except explorer.exe & taskmgr.exe.

Those 3 causes are the most common ones.

In my case, I have very rarely experienced problems with the TOE editor. Recently, it crashed during launch (with a standard Windows error-message), and when I tried again, it worked fine. Another time, I placed an object, during editing, outside of the map's boundaries. That created a corrupted map-file. The editor came back to normal when I deleted that guilty file.

i have problem with the ToE Map Editor also

there seem to be no items listed or shown at the tools panel that can be placed on the map

this is the first time this happened
am now worried on how to edit and place objects at the map

i am updated to ver 3.10 of the game and have uninstalled then re-installed it still with the same problem

i dont know what's wrong because there is no error message or something
