I'd say the problem is your graphics card, it's way below the minimum requirements.
Not only does it have only half of the minimum required memory, but it isn't Dx9 compliant, you'll need to do some upgrading in order to run the game.
Your Cpu just meets the minimum requirements.

You want to play this, and probably other modern games, it's high time to upgrade (the whole PC)!

Im not sure exactly what the problem is. But my games, all versions of H5, black out, sorta during play. The screen goes black and, using the first as an example, I can see some of the lava that the devil has.

I have provided a screen shot if it helps, but I know that my machine is capable of running it. The visuals just go black and all shadowy for some reason.

Here is the pic of the problem.

I believe the info below is what is needed. If more is needed tell me.

NVIDIA GeForce 6100 is extremely simple, lowest performance graphics card. Though i assume it should be able to display the game normally. Make sure in the game's options to have the lowest settings for Video, disable AA and AF, and no eyecandy.
But let's see,
-your drivers are the generic Vista drivers, a year out of date. Update to the latest nVidia drivers.
-you might try to install the AMD dual core patch
-as all DX9 games, on Vista they run on the DX9 layer. So make sure you updated DirectX9.0c to the latest version (Nov.2007)
-Install all Vista hotfixes.

For the rest... well for some reason you decided not to post your complete dxdiag so there's no more i can say for now, but i think i have the most important things covered. Smile

I refer to this thread on the Dark Messiah forum: DARK MESSIAH Installation and Troubleshooting Instructions [POST 2], for the links to
nVidia drivers
Vista hotfixes
DX9 update
see also [POST 6] item =36= in that thread for a link to AMD dual core hotfix.

Besides this make sure you installed the game's patches. http://www.ubi.com/US/Downloads/Info.aspx?dlId=1628

Looking for any help on resolving problems. Game installs fine, installed all updates (v1.60). Game actually plays, mouse slow to respond, graphics look okay, response gets slower as I play, especially if view is tilted.

I can play 1st campaign, says mission completed, then kicks me out. Can't continue to play next campaign.

Ran the system requirements lab analysis and it says that my video cared fails to meet minimum.
It is ATI Radeon Express 200 series ()x5954). The part I don't understand is that my video card features are all above the minimum requirements.

Looking for a patch or adjustment to allow better play without replacing video card if it isn't absolutely necessary. THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

You don't have a videocard, but onboard, integrated graphics chip (ATI RADEON XPRESS 200); this is a low budget solution for non-gaming platforms. However you can run older games on it (at low resolution, low settings) it is below the system requirements for DirectX9.0c games.

Here's the list again:

quote:

Supported OS: Windows 2000/XP (Vista may work)
Processor: Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 1.5 GHz (Pentium 4 2.4 GHz recommended)
RAM: 512 MB (1 GB recommended)
Video Card: DirectX 9.0c compliant w/ 64MB VRAM (128 MB recommended)*
Sound Card: DirectX 9 compliant
DirectX 9.0c
CD-ROM: 12X CD-Rom or better
Hard Drive free Space: 2+ GB
Multiplay: Broadband internet connection

*Supported Video Cards at Time of Release
NVIDIA GeForce" 3/4/FX/6/7/8 families (GeForce 4 MX NOT supported)
ATI Radeon 8500/9000/X/HD2/HD3/ families
Matrox Parhelia

** Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT supported.

Integrated graphic chips are not supported however some may work.

Nevertheless, you can try to get the game running:
Update your ATI drivers (yours are 2½ years outdated).
For some some reason you decided to not post your complete dxdiag so no-one can help you further.

Hey
I downloaded the tribes of east demo and it worked on my geforce4 mx4000 128 mb card(Despite the full versions box saying that it isnt supported).Infact with my 1 gb ram the game plays at a pretty decent pace on 800x600 resolution. Do you think i should get the full version or is this just a one-off thing?

Hello guys, i have a weird problem here, searched the forum and came up with nothing, so i'm posting hoping someone could help me out.

The cutscenes play too fast, i can never read anything on them, they just skip between screens, making it impossible for me to actually enjoy the story... everything works good otherwise, the game plays, i have all settings at max, and my comp can handle it pretty good. I really don't understand what the problem is.

SO I have the error problem I read about in this thread.

Install and all goes fine but when I start the game up I get the tab message: 'error'. Doesnt say what specific error. Only thing I can do that is to Alt. ctrl. Del. out of the program.

Anyone knows what I can do about this? I really want to play the game.

here are my specs:
