What's the problem? TFT monitors usually only run at 60Hz.

Hai Waylander, I also had problems with playing the game. And I had a very strange solution. I have 2 harddrives ( c: and e: ) I rerserved my e: drive for games but for some reason I'm not able to play from this drive. After I installed the game on the main drive (cSmile it ran perfectly..Perhaps this info helps you.

hogzhed666 please read the thread. I told to do not post untill you already done the things i say. Have you installed service pack 2? In your dxdiag i see only 1. :/
And please remove from this to the end:
---------------------
Sound Capture Devices
---------------------
Also make sure you did all things in the first post from this thread that are related to your problem. Like latest drivers for motherboard,video-card, sound-card,directx that came with the game.

hogzhed666 not being able to install sp2 means a faulty hardware component or a conflict between 2 components. It seems the game has issues with all kinds of video cards but especialy radeon9600.

Try this:
Go to start, run type dxdiag and press enter
Go to the sound tab and try moving the hardware acceleration level slider 1 notch to the left.(From full to standard).

Try allocating more ram to the video card from bios cause i see you got 64 now shader (if you can). The thing why the exe doesn't work for you is cause your video card is integrated even if it's a 4 mx. After sharing more ram try again with the exe dentist_1 provided.

I have run into a start up crash myself, though I recieve no error messages. (Alienwares automated support shows up instead)

I tried numerous times to install and uninstall as it locked up on me the first few times upon exiting the install. I now have a clean install (the 5th one) and yet the game will still crash.

Unlike everyone elses that Ive read, I do not get any splash screen at all, just a spinning disk loading icon before it crashes. Every time.

I have read the fixes here and have tried them to no avail.(april directx exe, the no cd exe, turning off Sli, and reinstalling the latest drivers which I did last week afore the game came out)

I know its not the disks themselves because I have installed the game on another computer and although I did not play it there it did load correctly. I never had trouble with the demo when that was out and it is weird that I am having trouble now. Especialy since this computer is only 3 months old.

Ifn any one has any more ideas I would be very grateful fer the help cause Im out.
