Still having screen freezing problem/blue screen...
this seems to be my main problem: Display Tab 1: The file nv4_disp.dll is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer. this is taken from that thing u recomended doing at the very first post... I can play the game for about 10-20 minutes but then EVERYTIME it freezes, and i can't even shut down my computer the normal way. I installed the patch , which didnt help, can ANYONE help me? plz? i know theres a lot of posts on this thread, but i really need this game to get working.. any help is appreciated... -- Thanks -- |

Will there be a patch to resolve problems with laptop video cards?
I can run the game on my old 800mHz, 256mb RAM PC and not on my new laptop! Not surprisingly, it's very slow, but at least I can load a scenario It would be a good idea for Ubi to release a fix, more and more people are using laptops these days... |

My screen freezes about 10 or more minutes into the game, please look over my specs and tell me what it could be...
I am still having some hard times finding and installing drivers, can anyone help? is there a free program out there that can help? btw i do know that having the most up to date drivers would probably be able to fix it, but where do i look? well for starters 91.31 id sn unofficial driver and may cause problems for certain people you roll a dice if its good like for me you get a significant performance increase but it wont solve all the problems especially the problem with scrolling to black areas and stability decreases after long hours of play i have checked heat and since the 7900gt is a 90nm const process it produces very little heat at stock cooling even after 7 houts it topped only 49 degress with a little help from my alienware case and sysfans but no water cooling. try 91.31 it should provide some performance increase for people with lower end cards.dunno about ati they suck anyways |

Problem: White graphics appearing randomly while ingame. Be it on the minimap or in city view. I have downloaded everything and anything and have not gotten anything to work. My card is a 6600 geforce agp. I however also have a 5900ultra that the game works fine on. So the problem is with the 6600. Which kinda sucks plunking down a bunch of cash to find my older card is better but oh well thats why I'm posting here. I've downloaded multiple graphics drivers, same result. Have the patch installed as well, also the latest DX etc. Anyways Any help would be great thanks!
Oh and the card is not overclocked or running hot or anything, system is perfectly stable can run any number of new games with this card be it hitman/oblivion.. etc.. no problem. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 6/19/2006, 20:48:50 Machine name: COW Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: NVIDIA System Model: AWRDACPI BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.8GHz Memory: 1536MB RAM Page File: 316MB used, 3118MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ DirectX Files Tab: No problems found. this is a developer problem i don't think this game will ever be stable we even tested it on a dual core amd 4200+ with sli 7800gtx's and 4gb ram and still nothing. |

Here's my problem. Game runs fine, but after a few minutes I get little flashing boxes that start to show up on the screen. It starts out with just a few, but as time goes on they fill up the screen. Closing out of the program and restarting make them stop, but I have to do it after every 30 minutes or so. It's annoying. I have tried a few of the fixes mentioned here, but I don't want to have to start changing profiles and exe files when the game is working fine. Anyone have any ideas what's causing this to happen? It's only with this program.

Hello,
I just recently brought Heroes V and I’m having troubles with it like the rest of these people posting. I tried installing the game and noticed that it never asked me for disk 2 during the installation. I don’t know if that is a problem or not. My main problem is that the game freezes after the startup screen (the screen that comes up after clicking on the “play†in the autorun). Also, I realized after my purchase that in the fine print about laptop video cards not supported. I was hoping that you would help me and also save me some time from reading endless pages on the forums or should I wait and get a new desktop. Thanks for your time. ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 6/22/2006, 21:56:45 Machine name: DEVILISSUPREME Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard System Model: Pavilion zx5000 (DZ314U#ABA) BIOS: Ver 1.00PARTTBL Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 510MB RAM Page File: 230MB used, 1018MB available Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode ------------ DxDiag Notes ------------ DirectX Files Tab: No problems found.
