I don’t understand what exactly you are asking. The map editor has nothing to do with the data.pak, which as far as I know is just one of many files in the data folder. Once you installed the patches the way to work with the map editor is to go to the windows start menu, go where you normally start Heroes 5 from, and in that folder you will now also find a map editor button. That’s how you start the map editor. You don’t have to change any software, or settings or anything of that kind. Once you installed the patches the button to start the map editor is simply added to the existing heroes menu in the start menu. H.W.

I concur with Alias. I created a shortcut from the Program Menu and dragged it to the desk top.
