Good day to all.

These are my versions of Supermarine Spitfire MkVIII skins that represent:

1. Supermarine Spitfire MkVIII code "QJ + F", serial JF502, piloted by Flt. Lt. Eddie Edwards, RAF No.92 Sqn, Marcianise, Italy, 1944:

2. Supermarine Spitfire MkVIII code "AX + W", serial JF626, piloted by Mj. Henry Gaynor, SAAF No.1 Squadron:

3. Supermarine Spitfire MkVIII code "ZP + Q", serial A58-514, piloted by Flt. Lt. Alf Glendenning, RAAF No.457 Sqn, Goodenough Island, New Guinea, mid-1944:

4. Supermarine Spitfire MkVIII code "AF + B", serial MD372, RIAF No.607 Sqn, Imphal, Spring, 1944:

5. Supermarine Spitfire MkVIII code "ZP + Q", serial A58-614, "Grey Nurse" piloted by Edward "Ted" Sly, RAAF No.457 Sqn, Morotai, early 1945:

Credits go to Jesters-Ink (elements of his MkVIII template were used!).
Mechanical Internals -- by F-B-S (with my little addiction: main wheel, inside wing
construction details, landing flaps e.t.c.)...
Special thx to Sparty, eirinn & Kristorf for answering my questioins about true MkVIII schemes/colours...

It's my biggest skinpack up to date (10 skins total)...
I made it as a tribute to all FB/PF Campaigns makers, who, unlike me, instead of playing stupid PC games spend so much time planning, making & testing new offline campaigns...
In this work I tried to represent different possible camo variants to satisfy all Campaign makers/virtual pilots needs...

*Unmarked versions for each historic skin are also included.

Get the skins either here (Fl.-L.):
http://www.flying-legends.net/php/downloads/download.php?id=7087
or here (M4T):
http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads2&file=details&id=4080

Enjoy and happy flights!

My best wishes,

Mangas.

Hello, mates. Thx for you replies & cheering...
2 Hangman68: the only Eagle Sqn skin I made is William ("Bull") Dunn's Spit in this skinpack:
http://www.flying-legends.net/php/downloads/download.php?id=4846
But it was quite long ago... I don't like those my skins much...
Btw, just a few days ago vp_media made his own skin for that Spit, I'd strongly recommend it:
http://www.flying-legends.net/php/downloads/download.php?id=7088

Hope this can help...

Best wishes,
Mangas.

Exllent skin yours and VP's i got them both, truly does a great Honor to the egales.

If your ever looking for an idea for the 47 or 51 ive seen alot of skins on the group i fly with online for 2 of the 3 squadrons under the 353 Fighter Group but none for the 351st FS unless i over looked them like somehow i did with the spit skins but there call letters were YJ. I lead this squadron which is a hudge honor for me because one of our members is an actual 353rd pilot from WW2 who was in the 351st FS

Good day to all.

These are my versions of Hawker Hurricane MkIId skins that represent:

1. Hurricane MkIId code "JV + Z", serial BP188,
RAF No.6 Sqn, North Africa, 1942.
This aircraft served against Rommel's tanks.
Facing desert use, it was fitted in Trop. configuration with a Volkes filter installed.
The squadron continued it's "anti-tank" duty until the end of the North African campaign when they converted to rocket-firing Hurricanes
and moved to Italy and flew the rest of the war over the Balkans:

2. Hurricane MkIId, serial KX248, "white 21",
piloted by Sec. Lt. Lepilin, Soviet VVS 246 IAP, February, 1944.
It was one of the few MkIId "tank busters" sent to the USSR:

Photoes of both aircrafts are also included...

My own template, except for fine Mechanical Internals made by by F-B-S...

This work I made as a tribute to AAA comunity... To people who work hard
to change this flight sim even for the better...

Btw, I also reworked a little the Vickers TypeS 40mm Canon details and
the filter colours.
So, to those who use mods I recommend to put 3 appropriate files
from either "Azure" or "Medium Sea Grey" folder -- depending on
the underside of skin you choose -- to folder
C:\Program Files\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\HurricaneMkIId\3do\plane\HurricaneMkIId(Multi1)
overwriting existing ones (you may want to make a backup first)...

(Nevertheless, all the credits go to AAA comunity guys who made this nice MkIId mod!)...

Get the skins either here (Fl.-L.):
http://www.flying-legends.net/php/downloads/download.ph...%20Hurricane%20MkIId
Or here (M4T):
(under review now)...

If someone already has made skins for those planes -- sorry, but these are the only 2 MkIId profiles I have... Roll Eyes

*Unmarked versions for each historic skin are also included.

Enjoy and happy flights!

My best wishes,

Mangas.

Hello to all. This is my version of famous Curtiss Hawk 75A-1, that was shipped to the French Air Force in April 1939 and issued to GC 11/5 at Reims, thereafter based at Toul during the battle of France and then made its way to Oran, Algeria before the Armistice. From 1940 to '42 the Squadron was engaged in sporadic fights with British aircraft such as Sunderlands, Hudsons, Fulmars, Wellingtons over Algeria, Tunisia and Morroco, plus USN Wildcats.
In 1946 until 1949 it was on the strength of the 4th Training Squadron at Cazaux in western France with 22 others. It was saved from scrapping by Michel Pont in the '50's and been in storage in France until the '80's until TFC moved it to Duxford. Restoration was completed in Chino and the Hawk made it's first public appearance in the UK in 2005:

Photo of real aircraft is also included...

Special thanks to Jesters-Ink, as elements of his fine Hawk template were used. Also thanks to Claymore, for submitting nice detailed photoes of this nice bird made at aviashow. Credits also go to Duggy & vtrelut, guys from M4T forum who provided me with the info about this aircraft.
This bird is a true legend, besides, it's the last & only fully operable/flyable Hawk 75 in the world!

High detailed skin, plus fully reworked Cockpit/Internal Details/Mechanicals set. No weathering is done since the a/c is recently repaired/repainted... For those who like weathering effects -- see my future Hawk skins releases...

*Btw, as far as I understand, there's a small developer's bug: you have to put ALL Hawk 75 skins not in "Hawk-75" folders (!), but in P-36A-3/A-4 folders, but you have to choose Hawk-75A-3/A-4 in the ingame dropdown menu to fly them...

Get the skin either here (Fl.-L.):
http://www.flying-legends.net/php/downloads/download.php?id=7247
Or here (M4T):
http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads2&file=details&id=4260

*Please note that some colours and/or details may differ from those used during WW2 -- but only 'cause I did my best to make the a/c look EXACTLY as it does in Duxford now...

The skin actually suits A-3 and A-4 models, but for those who adore historicity (like me), it's strongly recommended to use Hawk72A-2 mod made by French fans that adds a true A-2 in game with sliding canopy (apart from flyable A-3/-4 that come with Eng. sound mod 0.93)...

This work I made as a tribute to French game fans comunity: Tromplamort, Obelix, Tchaika, Kalaluth, Gaston, Zargos, Grosminet, Mcwan and many other nice fellas who inhabit this absolutely beautiful site (http://www.france-simulation.com), and whose campigns/skins I've been downloading & enjoying since 2004... ;-)

Enjoy and Vive la France!

My best wishes,
Mangas.

P.S.: If someone who read this work or somehow connected to web-designing and/or SEO business -- pls, PM me... It's very important to me... Thank you.

Mangas, stunning results as ever Thumbs Up

Are you planning a Dutch East Indies Hawk-75?

"The pilot managed to crashland it successfully and we refrained from shooting up the survivors. The word must have got around, as the next day I was shot down and had to bale out. While I was lying in the sand with a busted shoulder, the Bf 109 pilot who did me made a run over me but held his fire."
