How're you guys doing? In order not to overwhelm the forum with a lot of new threads, I'll keep links to my latest skinwork here...
Right now is my version of Ki-84-Ia of 101st sentai, Okinawa, 1944:

Special thanks to:
1. Jester-Ink (for a nice template).
2. Kamikuza (for some detailed internals).
3. vp_media (for a nice colour profile Smile).
I also want to thank F-B-S for his hints on true paint chipping... Thanks, Darren! Party Hat (it's a pity I don't get your e-mails... Crying)

The skin is available here:
http://www.flying-legends.net/php/downloads/download.php?id=4971
Hope you like my work.

See you,
Mangas.

Thanks very much, Darren! Smile...

As a responce to a skins request from our Italian colleagues, I made this "Folgore":
Macchi Mc.202 Serie V (VII in game) flown by
Italian WW2 ace Capt. Adriano Visconti (26 kills) of 86° Squadriglia 16° Gruppo 54° Stormo C.T. in North Africa during Spring, 1942:

More information about Adriano Visconti you can find here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adriano_Visconti

New rivets & paint chips look (thnx to F-B-S for tips & hints! Wink)...
Special thanks to Sparty (for a fine Macchi MC.202 Template) and Abraxa (for some nice detailed internals). I left the logo-s of these bright skinners at my final skins to show them my respect.
*Unmarked version is also included.
Both skins are available here:
http://www.flying-legends.net/php/downloads/download.php?id=5069

P.S.: My "Folgore" skinpack is next to come... whisper

Hope you'll like what I've done.

Happy flights!
See you...
Mangas.

Nice skins Mangas, and excellent paint chipping Smile

If I may give you a suggestion on the Folgore, I would blur a bit the green mottles of the "Breda" camouflage, since they were sprayed. This would perfect the realism of your skin which is already historically accurate.

Hi mate, beautifiul work, looks very convincing, must agree with Abraxa on the camo though, indeed it was sprayed quite roughly by all accounts, and Abraxa is the man in the picture as far as Italian birds are concerned I should think, apart from that lil niggle, BEEEEEAUTEEEE! Thumbs Up

Whilst Im here mate, check your emails around 10pm your time, ive sent you a link to download the FW 190A8 template, its basically as I use it, so it hasnt been messed with for general release, ive left it that way so you can best see the techniques I employ, particularly with regards to weather, chipping & Rivetting ok mate Smile
Also Abraxa, wouldnt mind a copy of your internals for the 202 if you would be so kind, i have a few on my list of to do's, a nice internal set without my having to do them would make a refreshing change Thumbs Up

Mangas,

Beautiful camo detailing and weathering on the Folgore! I've never done one of the Italian planes, but I've heard horror stories about all the fixes to the void that are needed. Was there much work to get the Folgore's lines lined up and accurate?

Oh, and the paint wear and underlying metal work on the "Frank" is fantastic.

Hi Falcon, allow me to observe a couple of things. The 202 in your pict is a restored and re-painted one, and it also portrays (without being totally reliable) an Aermacchi camo, while the 202 skinned by Mangas is a "Breda" camo, which had several differences, included the shape and the density of the mottles.
Anyhow, the mottles, although not heavily blurredm, should have less defined and smoother contours, being sprayed, in verde oliva on the surface "nocciola chiaro 4".

Regards

Thanks Abraxa,

As far as Italian camo schemes go I am a babe in the woods. Over the years though I have seen "Breda?"-type camo mottling in old photos look a wee bit less blurry than what is common here. Being black and white photos, I couldn't tell the color, but the pattern was similar to Mangas'.

Gah! Don't get me started on studing Italian camos too. My brain is arleady too crammed with this stuff!

Thanks for your info ... I be quiet now, Wink
