IIRC, the only navy to use the P-47 was the Soviet Navy, and even those were land-based.

They do look cool though, like a Bearcat that has indulged in too many burgers.

The name of the skin is P-47 Bearcat, coincidentally.
Its a specially designed P-47 for ocean use (fictionally). Anyway, my missions are fictional, ocean based with some land scenes. I've built these large water world like depots that also probably never existed. It still makes for a good story and adventure. |

When can we download these?

I want to make at least one more pattern for some variety.
Also, I'm primarily using them as part of a fictional campaign. i was planning on including the skins as part of that download. Not sure of the time frame, but if you want the skins i can post them once when they are completed. |

Love the design...weathering looks great as well.

For the most part the weathering was from a skin done by Kristorf & Monguse and the templates were from JestersInc. They have been inverted, and manipulated to fit these skins.
As for the color placement and additional wear and tare, those are things i've done to make these skins what they are. There is a tool in Photoshop that i use to weather or add chipping effect. Like the browning of the yellow stripe after the engine. They look good for amateur work, but i'm not sure how they will look on a high resolution canvass. I'm glad you folks like them, i'm working on a second image now that won't have the yellow, but will still keep that impressive navy blue that i like on the Corsairs. |
