Hi I am a rookie in this i just vant to learn how to skin a new skin on a plane?

I think the best way to begin learning to skin is to go to "Vagabonds Skinning Tutorials" they can be found here: http://www.mission4today.com/i...o&file=viewforum&f=9
This is a great place to start. There are several tutorials at Simmerspaint: http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/ You will need a Graphics program such as Gimp, Photoshop or Paintshop. Hope this helps. Cheers and welcome to the wonderful world of skinning. |

Hi mapal I have just manage to paint an plane whith help from Gimp. But i only have done the same thing as i can do in "paint" window program do not know how to paint an plane to make it appare more real than i got when paint it whith windowprogram "paint" just one colour exsample grey. go to you tube and search IL2 skins vagabond. he has an intro lesson and then a decal lesson. he uses photoshop. very good videos.

Sorry I haven't been back in touch with you, redarrow, I've been taking care of some business and doing a little photography. I don't know anything about Gimp but there are a lot of skinners who use just that. It seems that briyeo is giving you some excellent help. I use Photoshop CS3 myself and Photoshot Elements 5.0 before that. Good luck and please let us see your work when it's done. Cheers
