The first in a series of early-marque P-40s that will be produced.

Tomahawk Mk. IIb as flown by Clive Caldwell with No. 250 Squadron

One of the most preeminent flying aces produced by Australia during WWII, Clive "Killer" Caldwell (a nickname which he disliked) got his baptism of fire and embarked on his successful career during the Western Desert/North African campaigns of 1941 and 1942. His aircraft depicted here, coded LD*C, shows victories over five and a half German opponents plus one Italian plane downed. Also included is a semi-historical wingman for Caldwell, LD*F.

Original template by Leadspitter with upgraded internals by Goodwood. Skinpack includes roundels-only and fin-flash only for each fully-marked aircraft.

Two P-40Bs of the 15th Pursuit Group stationed at Pearl Harbor.

What more needs to be said? These two P-40s, stationed at Ewa Field on Oahu on 7 December 1941, were used by Lts. George Welch and Kenneth Taylor in their heroic effort to stave off the Japanese surprise attack.

Skinpack includes one each of "155" (Taylor) and "160" (Welch) plus a standard-marked Olive Drab/Neutral Gray with early USAAC roundels and "U.S. ARMY" under the wings. Template by Leadspitter with updated internals by Goodwood

A five-pack of Tomahawk Mk. IIb skins representing No. 5 Squadron, South African Air Force in N. Africa, 1942.

This assemblage of skins contains a number of historical Tomahawk Mk. IIbs that served with 5 Squadron, in turn flying with the Desert Air Force in the skies over North Africa.

GL-F, with serial number AM401, was flown on March 11th 1942 by Capt Johnny Human when making his first claim in damaging a Ju88. He subsequently gained 4 victories with No. 2 Sqn SSA before returning to No. 5 as CO. His important (ace) victory was an Me323 transport with this unit on march 22nd 1943. This particular Tomahawk was struck of charge in June 1942.'

GL-H, with serial number AK448, was flown by two different ace pilots, John Hewitson and Louis Botha, during June of 1942.

GL-K, bearing serial number AN247, was flown by the most successful fighter pilot to fly with the SAAF during WWII, John Frost, again in the summer of 1942.

Rounding out the pack, we have GL-O, with the serial number FR817, and an alternate version of GL-F, bearing AK434 as its serial number.

Original template by Leadspitter with updated internals and weathering by Goodwood. Many thanks go to cheruskerarmin for his research into the early-marque P-40s in Commonwealth service. No blanks are included, unfortunately.

A Tomahawk Mk. I (Mk. IIa in game) of No. 400 Squadron, RAF

Based in Odiham, England, in late 1941, this aircraft took part in fighter-reconnaissance missions over Occupied Europe as part of No. 400 Squadron. The type was considered ill-equipped for service in Europe, and future examples were soon transferred to the North African Theatre.

Original template by Leadspitter with upgrated internals by Goodwood. Skin pack includes fully-marked, roundels only, and blank with leading-edge stripe, sky band, and fin flash.

Thanks R_Target!

Actually seeing some of your work on P-51s and P-39s has inspired some of the weathering effects put on my own P-40s and Airacobras. Smile
