Still a long ways off yet now I'm getting a handle on it....Thanks for the tip yet was already copy/pasting what I can....and keep getting distracted by tiny tidbits yet I'm really liking the result. Basically, i'm eliminating all the dark and light shading that makes up underlying rib and stringer structures....In many cases I've discovered THAT is what gives the illusion of many rivets when there are few placed, yet as pointed out it makes the aircrafts outer skin look un-natural. I'm becoming pleased enough with this I'm even considering not using an offset white rivet layer...That simply makes them look 3d, well fact of the matter was they were flush with the skin so should not. Unfortunately I keep getting side tracked with tiny details forgotten that really make a huge difference....In any case here is a test skin, it a long ways off and now only 40 billion more rivets to go.....Yet I'm liking the result enough to charge full speed ahead.
