Hammerd's Skins

i've a question. Now, while il2skins.com and other mayor sites are down. Where do have to go to look for templates?

Searching this forum i've found many templates that i need (eg. p-63 / b-25) but all of them are hosted by il2skins.com :S.

Could anyone help me on this one?

If I'm not mistaken, the Avia was done by an exceptional skinner, Justosca. A fine void file indeed. I even made a folder for it and put it into my skins directory, hoping it would be recognized, but to no avail.

Does anyone specialize in captured skins? I'm looking for LW skins for captured allied planes.

Basically any skin for a captured allied plane. Especially something that was later flown against the allies. Is there such a monster? I've never heard of this personally.

It's actually quite easy.

Go to the folder where you installed the game.

For example, here's mine:

E:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\PaintSchemes\Skins

Once you are in "skins" it's just a matter of dropping the new skin file in the right folder. Simple.

I've got a P-51B/C, painted in green and yellow. at flying legends, it was as a trainer, all the info is there.

I think there was a b-17 skin by jarink there aswell. Imme just posted a P-38 not but a week ago or so.

I've got a great P-47 template, I'll look in my books and see what I can't find for it. or if you have something in mind I can probly put it together.
