I've been working on this for quite some time now. I think I'm or complete.. I really can't tell and would just like a few opinions on it. I only used a template to get the mechanical layer and stencils for the skin.

It looks amazing, I'd love to wear in desert scenarios. I'll be watching like a hawk for the DL link.

Very nice mate.
If I may suggest something, possibly try making the main colour darker, more oof a dark stone as opposed to a light sand. |

Hi, I think it's a very good clean version, congratulations, nice work. If you want my opinion, I think it has reached now to the point where the serious decoration starts, meaning weathering. Stains, oil streaks, maybe a little chipping here and there on both upper and under surfaces. Perhaps the rivets could be more visible too. I'm not an expert on US aircraft, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the starboard wing national marking suppose to be on the under side? I'm not an expert on US colours either but as far as I can tell from these screenshots they look good, nice contrast, nothing's too shining or bright. I'd go for the weathering next. Nice work, keep it up

There is probably suppose to be a national marking on the underside of the wing, but the P-40 template is laid out in a way that there is only one wing for the underside and it's just mirrored. So i decide to just leave out the marking underneath and just have them on top. There is a bit of weathering on the plane already and I don't want to make it overly weathered, but i will play around with it some more and try some different things.
As for the color Kristof I just used what was a simmerspaintshop. If you have any reference photos to what you are talking about, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks for the praises fellas, I'll keep it updated. You know what the call a quarter pounder with cheese in France? |

Sorry, didn't know that, forget what I said about them markings. What a shame the US markings can't be added correctly. Atb with your project, looking good. |

Not a problem... as you can see I put markings underneath anyways. Turned out it looked better with them on. You know what the call a quarter pounder with cheese in France? |

Started when I got Pacific-Fighters/Forgotten Battles. So I guess 4 maybe 5 years. I started out making skins and it took me a good 8 hours. they were decent skins but nothing great. Over the years it's taken me longer and longer since I now have more tools in my bag.
I'd say I've been working on this skin on and off for probably a total of close to 20 hours, maybe more You know what the call a quarter pounder with cheese in France? |

Update (final).. I've noticed a few things not to my liking in these shots and I'm correcting them before I upload at mission4today. Also I think there is a lighting issue where the wing meets the fuselage near the numbers. Anyways, somewhat of the final version... (Edit: Available at mission4today)
