Hi, I'm happy to inform the first Yak-1B skins are ready. They can be downloaded at M4T.
13 Yak's, 39 skins with full markings, stars only and blanks. The pack includes some new skins and older skins I did earlier and now updated with the new template. Skins were drawn from colour profiles from: Yefim Gordon's 'Soviet Air Power in WW II', Osprey, 'Yakovlev Aces of WW II'. Alelyukhin's "Red 1" from another skin made by Hayate. Snr. Lt. Golovin's "White 13" from a colour profile found in the internet. Hope you enjoy these. |

Hi everybody, and thanks for all the positive feedback. A follow up will be released soon.
I think if they'd actually been facing 'the wrong way' more often during the initial phase of the war, they wouldn't have been shot down so easily from time to time. But seriously, I don't know where the origin of these phenomenom come, but arrows and other markings such as all sorts of diagonal stripes on the tail, animals (Lions, Leopards, Tigers, Eagles etc. often hand drawn) where very common and popular features on VVS fighters. Hi, Nightsifter1. Few is better than nothing at all. Hi, Tuphlandng. If you mean the backround history of the planes, it's all in the read me text included in the pack. If it's about technical data conerning the aircraft, I'm afraid there's not much I can do to help, not an expert in that area. |
