I was asked some time back to do the Battle of Britain Flights Spitfire MkIIa in its new colours, that of Flt Lt Geoffrey Wellum DFC and I forgot all about it.
Reading this months Flypast I saw a pic and it jogged the old memory Ended up doing one 'as new' and a war weary version. Mr Wellum destroying a He111 over Kent, Sept 11th 1940 I know the 'QJ' on the port side is stretched at the base, but no matter how hard I try I cannot get it straight (stretching point on model) Will release as soon as I do unmarked versions |

I never forgot.
Worth the wait too. *********************************************** "Nineteen years of age, eight years public education, three years military service. Intelligent, normally observant and answered all questions freely. He was arrogant and proud to be a pilot. Fellow prisoners in hospital consider him mentally unstable." |
