A friend of mine took this screen:




It is near to finished though, I worked on it all day today.

Take the cross on the side and raise it up a bit.

The panel lines and rivits are too visible. Try and make them dark green and yellow instead of black. Makes it more realistic.

But good things happen when you spend time on them, I bet you can see that now. Keep it up, this is better than before.

Actually, the best solution is usually to lower the opacity of these layers. I usually set panel lines at 5-10% and rivets about 5% opacity.

Which will get around the same effect. But either way it would be fairly quick of a fix.

Rivets are still much much too visible, you need to drop the pacity of those levels right down, same with panel lines.

I'd also say have a dabble with some weathering as right now its still very plain looking.

Good idea to have your own thread for all your work.
keep it up. I've never managed to get anything like what you've done so far.

Try bringing all the line and rivet layers down to about 6% and they won't appear as bold.

Quick copy of your colours with weathering and toning layers added.

now that spitfire is by far the best thing you have made yet..take your time and finish it and you'll have done a good job.
some excaust and gun port stains and the ID letters and i think it'll be really nice.
