This is were I wil ask all my questions and show my work and WIP and stuff.
Could someone make a cool screenshot of this skin, so I can edit it, by pasting what the real aircraft looks like, and compare and stuff. Thanks a million. Owl This message has been edited. A friend of mine took this screen:
It is near to finished though, I worked on it all day today. Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way home, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV. |

Take the cross on the side and raise it up a bit.
The panel lines and rivits are too visible. Try and make them dark green and yellow instead of black. Makes it more realistic. But good things happen when you spend time on them, I bet you can see that now. (now maybe you can go to my thread and rate MY p-51) |

Actually, the best solution is usually to lower the opacity of these layers. I usually set panel lines at 5-10% and rivets about 5% opacity. |

Which will get around the same effect. But either way it would be fairly quick of a fix.

I think I'm starting to understand skinning, and I think when I take my time, it looks a lot better. Thanks guys. This message has been edited. Rivets are still much much too visible, you need to drop the pacity of those levels right down, same with panel lines.
I'd also say have a dabble with some weathering as right now its still very plain looking. V Oberstleutnant Valantine Zimmermann II./JG53 Kommandeur Co-op Squadron Recruiting!!! Recruiting BF109 pilots throughout the globe! Come see us at: http://www.iijg53.com |

Good idea to have your own thread for all your work.
keep it up. I've never managed to get anything like what you've done so far. |

Try bringing all the line and rivet layers down to about 6% and they won't appear as bold.
Quick copy of your colours with weathering and toning layers added. Jesters Template, same as yours (not stealing thread just showing you what it could look like. I know I have done a few skins but I listened to Jester, Canon, Bo_Nidle etc and learnt |

Would you take that pic off? People get ****ed when someone uses our current flag and superimposes swastika-stuff over it. Including me. |
