Blast from the past time:
 It was inevitable, really, that this concept of the Schwarmpack be extended to the Dora. And about time, too...take this colourful example, from 2 Staffel, Jagdgeschwader 26. I recently built a 1/32nd scale model of the lead aircraft, "Black 10" (WNr 500618), and was inspired to not only skin that, but to make three more companion planes. Each comes with the usual gamut of swastika-only and blank skins. Hey Sean ... still skinning?
 One minor thing: The "yellow tail" is something I always associated with Hans Dortenmann during his time with III./JG 54. I never saw another aircraft with it. You don't happen to have sources which show other AC with such a big tail decoration? *face_puppy_eyes* Secondly it was a sign that he was the leader of the Staffel - it was a help for the newbies to find their leading aircraft again. As such I would not give it to all aircraft.   |
