Think I might still have me old Gladiator template...if you can give us a rough description of their camouflage scheme (temperate land, half-black/half-sky, for example) and Squadron ID codes, I could slap together a skin or two for your purposes.
Blarg, haven't got me old template. Sorry mate. ___(Insert fancy-arsed sig here):________ |................................................................| |................................................................| |................................................................| |................................................................| |________________________________| "There is more to be feared from an army of deer led by a lion, then an army of lions led by a deer." -- Theodore Roosevelt "Stuff happens!...And it's untidy. Hi tolertony. Sorry my late answer onse again. I bust my brain out if you have pictures and can make skinn the of the 263 squadron in Ramdbaksfjorden in norway. You skinnmaker do a great work in the Netwings and mission to day Do you also make mission? Or are you only skinnig mate? |
|||
|
I stopped skinning a couple of years ago, so this is a one off
I have never tried doing missions though pictures I found are no serial http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/1999/10/stuff_eng_profile_gladiator2.htm surviving wreck at bottom http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/gladiator_raf_263.htm small photo of one in cammo http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/gladiator_norway_kills.htm one i am doing is this one Gloster Gladiator Mk II N5641 On 2 October 1939, No 263 Sqn re-formed at Filton as a fighter squadron. Equipped with Gladiators, it was sent to Norway in April 1940, in an attempt to give air cover for British and Norwegian forces. Operating from a frozen lake, it had all its aircraft rendered unfit for action within three days and returned to the UK to re-equip. In May, the squadron arrived back in Norway, this time further north and flew patrols until the Allied forces were withdrawn from Narvik. Its aircraft embarked on the carrier 'Glorious', which was sunk en route to the UK by German surface ships. The remains of Gladiator N5641 was bought from a scrap merchant by a lay preacher and was stored for many years. It was then donated to the RNoAF during the 1970s and restored. It was displayed at Gardermoen before it was moved to Bodø. http://www.planesandchoppers.com/picture/number3828.asp http://www.warbirdregistry.org/gladregistry/gladiator-n5641.html http://luftfart.museum.no/Engelsk/Exhibitions/default.htm info on schemes worn http://www.geocities.com/acrawford0/263_1Sqn.html |

Red arrows, Please bear with me, it's coming along but i have reinstalled everything on another HD as it was running slower than a one legged marathon runner........
should be able to get it finished sooner than later, 3 attempts to reinstall xp finally made me realise the issues were a usb card that was corrupting the installs, past that now though. |

Just a little update to show you it is in hand, don't worry about the tail colours being reversed, I know about it and markings etc...... I am just doing this as and when I can for you. I think the metal front to the cowl will be more accurate than the one in the Museum as it would burn off, so was probably painted by them to protect it....... as were the exhausts.. Using the excellent template by Turnipkiller to do this the quickest and best way
Suprised myself that I am skinning for you..... |
