Hi, hoping osmeone could help,

Everytime I start a single player campaign on Farcry, when I reach the part where the enemies are talking and you can throw rocks my game crashes.

The screen goes red and ceases to move It actually crashed my PC too, which means I've gotta reset the pc

I've uprgraded to v1.4 from the v1 I got on the PCGamer Budget Disc

Im running XP on
Intel Quad Core 3ghz
4gb 850mhz Corsair RAM
8800GT 512 mb
Intel P35 MB

oh, and multiplayer works fine

can't seem to find any record of this happening to anyone else tho

I see no one has posted, so I will take a guess at a solution.

You state you are running 4 gigs of RAM. It is a documented fact that XP has problems with that much RAM. Something about address mapping. When XP was written in 2001, MikeySoft never thought a consumer would use 4 gigs of RAM.
Try dropping your RAM to 2 gigs.

Another reason for problems is over-clocking, if you're overclocked, set BIOS at defaults.
