Please can someone help me with Far Cry PC. I had installed this game and was making good progress until I reached the end of the Cooler where Val is waiting. I believe that there are supposed to be a couple of jokers to kill but there wasn't and I could not progress futher. I have looked on the web and find that this is not unusual so I updated from v1 to v1.4 cumalative. There was no change at all so (this is my mistake) I tried to install v1.1 and then when I loaded the game there was no save points to choose from. I then tried uninstalling the game where it asked me If I wanted to keep my save points to which I said yes. I then reinstalled v1 from my original disk hoping that it would pick up my save points that I can see with windows explorer. But no joy.

Question:
Is there any way that I can install the game and use the save points that are in the directory structure on my hard disk or must I complete all stages again? Please help

One problem you may have is that savegames from older patches will not work right with a game that has a newer patch. So 1.1 savegames will not work with the 1.4 patch anyway.
You can use the v1 savegames with v1 of the game but you may need to copy the saves into a new profile that you create.
Patches 1.3 and newer are required for video cards in the nvidia 7xxx series and ATI x1xxx series. If you have an older card then you can use v1 or 1.1.

do a search on files and folders see if you can find yourv saves
