Im buying this new computer and I'm just wondering how Far Cry would run on it, here are the specs:

Intel Dual Core 3.0 GHZ
2 GB ddr2 ram
Ati radeon x1300 pro (soon upgrading to nVidia 7900 gt)
160gb hard drive
Window vista

Yes i know its not that super dooper but it will do the job for me.
So will i be able to run Far Cry on High or Max with these specs?

Im almost positive vista is the problem for me and it makes farcry run at a crawl i have an ATI X1900 512MB card and even on just high not very high with only some aa etc on it runs slow unplayable in alot of areas (running at 1280x1024 dunno how it runs on lower resolution i refuse to lower it . So until new drivers come out you will probably experience the same.

Well I've looked all over the net and it says that Far Cry runs easily on Vista if you have the recommended specs for your pc, (which i do) so i think you might have a problem with ur pc or not have enough ram or processing speed

and also it might be because of your higher screen resolution i recommend you go to 1024x786 and try ur luck there it should be better for you!

actually i have 2 gigs of ram and an ati x1900 512mb graphics card and it ran full settings perfect on xp the drivers for vista are **** at the mo and there are some people wo are effected as bad as me by vista.

I am jealous of those specs.
I haven't had much time to play games so upgrading my comp has been put on the back burner.

Farcry was my savior and got me back into gaming.

Try playing on a:

Athlon 1200/266(OC to 1.33)
512mb ram
Radeon 9600(OC at 549:344 with Omega Drivers)
1.5mb DSL connect that maxs out at 40k up/down

It runs smooth enough for play but lag is sometimes an issue.

I have dual core 2.1gb E6400, 2gb ram and a 7900gs, vista. Farcry runs smooth on highest resolution with everything turned up

i got Ati X1300XT and can run it smooth on high

It should run good. I run it at max res with max everything and full AA with

2.0 Ghz (AMD 64 Anthlon)
2gb ddr2 ram
Ati Radeon x1500 pro
80gig HD
Vista home premium
