I am a flight sim junkie... I got hold of Far Cry about a year ago and just got around to installing it.. or trying to.. I remember when it first came out, I was working PT at my local Best Buy.. I was impressed.. but FPSs never really excited me like the flight sims..

Anyway... I know my way around a PC PDG... but this mess is ridiculous... the hoops and such that you have to jump through to get this thing installed ion a 64bit rig is just unreal... I have been reading some of the posts in here about the work arounds... but man o day... This sure does make me appreciate 1C Maddox even more than I did.. What a frickin nightmare.. and I still dont have it in yet.

Just venting... If I am still battling this thing I'll be back.. I am now going to transfewr it from Mamabear's XP32 box to my XP64 box..

Far Cry might have been the first shooter to use 64 bit code. Its a little funky to install and it doesn't let you play online. It looks good enough in 32 bit, so if you have too much trouble, bag the 64 and go back to the 32 bit install.
