Whenever I try to install the freeware version of far cry it says I must live in the US and I live in the US.

The freeware version was a time limited offer from LAST year for Labour Day, it's over now.
Blame the lazy download sites for still having it up for download, they should remove it, it would save people such as yourself from wasting time and bandwidth, downloading something that will no longer work.
