I have just brought far cry.
It loads up and works, but when i put the disk in and click play it takes ages to load up, this also happens if the disk is already in ect.
Is this normal?
Also when i load up a level ect you cant here some of the sound effects and the enemies stand with their arms aprt and they hover to move.

What are the specs of the system you are using?

1 gig of ram,
Geforce 7600gs 512mb and Nvidea A7N8X-E.

What OS?

Your problem sounds like one of inadequate resources one way or another, though your system specs seem reasonable enough for the game.

Some ideas based on typical things:

Defrag your drives
Scan for spyware/viruses
Turn off unneeded Windows services
Update mobo, video, and audio drivers

Are you sure about those specs?

The A7N8X-E is a AMD socket A motherboard. No chance of a Intel CPU working with it.

Have you patched the game yet?

KK it works alright now that ive got the patches...
Oh yeah guys i know this aint a battlfeild 2 forum but i accidently set the game to a rsolution that my moniter dosent surport and i cant seem to change it back cause i cant see anything...
